If you haven't seen silk tie Easter eggs, you haven't lived a true Easter! They are sooo much more fun than the traditional way of dying eggs. Smells a little better too!

Easter Eggs!

It's time for our annual Easter installment here at Monroe Files Photography!

Here's last year's post http://monroefiles.blogspot.com/2009/04/happy-easter.html complete with an egg hunt, the pups going swimming and chick pops.

No egg hunt photos this year. It was still on like Donkey Kong but it was COLD and rainy! Call me a wuss, but I stayed in the pavilion and gave out prizes. =) The egg hunt was over and done with in about 8 minutes! Those kids are crazy, but they LOVED every second of it!

After the egg hunt, Jamie and I got down to business: Dying eggs with silk ties! SO COOL! It was tons of fun and super easy. We enjoyed it much more than "the old fashioned way". =)

Two dozen eggs wrapped in silk, ready to be wrapped in a sheet and then boiled for 20 minutes in vinegar water.

Here are the results! SO cool!!

Liam & Erin: Mommy and me! | Baby Photographer Monroe Files Photography

I am officially caught up after this post! Yay! These got lost in the tumble of weddings and first trimester sickness. But it's never too late to enjoy them! Plus it's nice to see some COLOR! According to my pussy willow tree and flower box...spring is officially on it's way and I could not be happier! Bring on the flowers, leaves and sunshine!

Here is Erin and Liam's Mommy and me session! I will admit I was a little nervous for this, as I do not have tons of experience with little kids, let alone a 3 month old =) But they quickly relaxed in front of the camera and my creative juices kicked in! I'm pretty sure Erin thought I was crazy when we got to the park, but that's part of the fun!

We were a little upset with getting photos done and in came Mr. Binkie to the rescue!

I had tons of fun taking pictures of Liam and getting crazy with my fall stuff. I LOVE fall! I was in my happy place =)

What I can't believe is how MUCH Liam has grown since then! He now has two pearly whites on the bottom and he's an army crawler. His back legs don't crawl. I think he doesn't realize they are back there yet! In due time, he will...and possibly be up walking. Look out mom! :P

Swatsworth Wedding | Wedding Photographer Monroe Files Photography

Warning: I feel like I posted a LOT of pictures from this wedding. There were too many cute ones!

Like I do for all of my brides, I check in Wednesday or Thursday before the big day. Jess answered and we got through the time confirmation and if there were any major changes I should be aware about. I then said, "I have a kind of stupid question, but what are you having for dinner at the reception?" Luigi's was catering, to which I replied, "OK, I should be fine. I'm pregnant and wanted to make sure we weren't eating fish or I'd have to bring something to eat!" and she kind of giggled.

The day of the wedding, we got a ton of snow! After finally making it to the church in Curwensville, it felt like it took forever!, I walk in and say hello. Jess then announces, "There are 3 of us that are pregnant." To which ALL her bridesmaids looked around at one another while Jess explained: The photographer is pregnant, a bridesmaid is visibly pregnant and Jess herself is also pregnant! I then heard a bunch of sighs, as I realized they knew two of them were pregnant and couldn't figure out who number three was!

The Bridal Party

That is one thing I like to preach, KNOW how you are holding the servers or you will be up there forever. And it's awkward...especially when there was 6 + guests behind me with cameras that wanted photos too!

This was right as she smooshed it, thus the cute grin on her face.

A little icing on the nose in kisses never hurt anyone, just makes them sweeter!

Father Daughter dance. I loved her first, like I've said before: I have yet to see a Bride make it through this song with out crying! I try not to listen to the words too closely or I'd be crying too!
